NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 10, 2025) — The Sycamore Institute, an independent and nonpartisan public policy research center for Tennessee, announced today that Veronica Jamison and Dan Springer have joined its board of directors. Jamison has spent her career in nonprofit service, currently as the Vice President of Philanthropic Services at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. Springer is the former Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the City of Memphis and is currently the COO for MFA Program Management.
“Memphis plays a vital role in Tennessee’s economy, culture, and future,” said President Brian Straessle. “Veronica and Dan are both deeply rooted in Memphis and have earned the respect of their peers across sectors. Their insights will help us better understand the opportunities and pressures facing Memphians—and ensure our work continues to reflect the full range of experiences across Tennessee.
Veronica Jamison serves as Vice President of Philanthropic Services at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, where she is a key member of the foundation’s leadership team. Veronica brings nearly 16 years of nonprofit experience, with a strong background in building and managing multifaceted partnerships. She has held roles in national organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Lung Association, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Dan Springer serves as the Chief Operating Officer for MFA Program Management, a firm that specializes in managing large complex construction projects. Prior to joining MFA, Dan served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the City of Memphis for Mayor Jim Strickland. Throughout his career, Dan has worked at the intersection of the public sector and business to deliver large-scale projects that impact the community and economy positively. He has a proven track record of securing multimillion-dollar funding, advancing legislative priorities, and building collaborative relationships across various sectors.
